Dear Friends of God's Precious Infants,

Here in San Francisco and Marin Counties (and as of May 2004 in Oakland) we have started a chapter of the international ministry founded by Monsignor Philip Reilly known as Helpers of God's Precious Infants. We began our presence in Marin on Feb 12th and in San Francisco on this 25th day of March. We hope and pray that after reading ‘About Helpers of God's Precious Infants’ - which thoroughly explains who we are, what we do, and why we do it - you will be inspired to join us.

The Helpers exist both to make sure there is a presence in prayer of God's people at the sites where the unborn are unjustly dying and by way of sidewalk counseling to provide help at these same sites to the distressed mothers coming there for abortions. Our ultimate goal is to have this twofold presence at every site every day.

We go to these sites not to demonstrate or protest but in pure prayer, offering practical help. The Helpers’ approach is centered on prayer and the conversion of mothers and abortionists. We go with the mindset of Jesus, with an attitude of love, with intent to save souls. We pray to obtain God's mercy for the conversion of the abortionists and their staff who do the killing.

This is all done very safely, very peacefully, very prayerfully. Sometimes the mothers will speak to us and accept our offer of help and sometimes they won't. In any case we are there for them as we should be.

Through our love, prayers and the efforts of the Sidewalk Counselors, many mothers will be converted and give life to their babies. But for those babies who will die, we offer the only human love they may ever encounter in their short lives. Babies should not be left to die their heinous deaths alone.

Parents and babies need your help at the abortion mills. These modern day Calvaries are places where Jesus is calling us to be. For the tiny infants in the wombs of their mothers our responding to the call of Jesus is a matter of life and death.

Today we commemorate angel Gabriel’s announcement of the Incarnation of the Son of God to the Virgin Mary and her unconditional Fiat. We too can be God’s messengers and announce to these mothers that the life in their wombs is a child of God and has been entrusted to their loving care. We can encourage and help them to give their fiat to the God of Life as we invoke the intercession of Mary, Mother of the unborn Jesus - the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
